A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Indiana Funeral Care; Harry W. Moore Chapel  located at 8151 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis, Indiana 46250 at 4 pm, with visitation from 1 pm until service time.

Dean Eugene Stahley Sr., 70, passed away on July 21, 2016. He was born November 9, 1945 to the late John and Barbara (Fields) Stahley. Dean was a graduate of Southport High School. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1963- 1965 and was a truck driver for Airco for 15 years. He then began his own company, Stahley & Sons Decking Co., which he operated for years. Dean loved IU Basketball, fishing and cooking for his family.

Dean is survived by: his children, Shawn Stahley (Heather), Sonya (Kevin) Williams, Dean (Maria) Stahley Jr. and Dane Stahley; step-children, Shawn Ray, Amy (Mike) Whittaker and Larry Sparks; 10 grandchildren; brothers, Jerry(Rosie), Wayne (Margie) John (LeAnne) and Randy (Sharon) Stahley; sister, Wendy Recchio; and his beloved dog and best friend, “Dillinger”.

He was preceded in death by: wife, Mindy Stahley; son, Shane Stahley; and step-son, Jeremy Ray.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Indiana Funeral Care; Harry W. Moore Chapel at 4 pm, with visitation from 1 pm until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent directly to the family to help with funeral expenses. Arrangements entrusted to Indiana Funeral Care.

    Sonya and family, I am very sorry sorry for your loss. I know your dad meant so much to you. I hope you find comfort in good living memories and knowing that he is not in pain anymore. We love you all.
